What to expect for your 1st appointment

Bookings can be made online. You will be asked to provide name, DOB, address, phone number, email, medicare card, and payment details such as debit/credit card or paypal. Your booking will not go through unless payment details are added. 


Upon booking

- You will receive a  confirmation email shortly after booking. 

- New patients will receive a email with an intake form asking about your medical history. The form will take 5-10 minutes to complete. 

- You will receive an email reminder 2 days before your appointment


If you have any difficulties making an online booking please email info@healthonrose.com.au


If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please use the Appointment Link in your booking confirmation email, or reminder email. If you have a Halaxy Personal Health Record you can also manage your appointments via your account. 


If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a $50 late cancellation fee.

Please note that appointments cannot be cancelled through the appointment link within 48 hours of the scheduled time. If you need to cancel within this period, please email us as soon as possible to let Dr Caroline know and briefly explain the reason for your late cancellation.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise and life doesn't always go to plan. We appreciate your communication and will always do our best to assist where possible.

- There is free parking on Rose street and the surrounding streets. (Please check signs for time restriction, Rose St parking is 1 hour) 

- The train station has a car park on either side of the tracks

- There are a couple of accessible parking spaces on Rose Street, with one space located very close to the entrance of 59 Rose Street. 



Essendon train station is very close - 1 minute walk


59 tram stops at Fletcher St/Napier St stop 41- 4minute walk to 59 Rose Street



There is no external signage for the clinic. 


- Next door is Essendon Specialist and Wellness Centre, the other side a residential brick house.

- Please enter via the main entrance at 59 Rose Street. The door will be closed, unlocked between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm. (Should your consult be booked outside of these hours Dr Caroline will advise regarding access)

- Take the lift to Level 1. 

- Head towards the front of the building,  and pass through a closed unlocked glass door. 

- You will find the Health on Rose waiting room on your right.
- Take a seat and relax—Dr Caroline will come to collect you at your appointment time.

On level 1 there are bathrooms in the corridor close to the lift. 


If you are seating in the wait room please return to the corridor and the bathrooms will be on your right. 


You are welcome to close the door to the wait room


There are books you are welcome to read whilst you wait, and borrow should something be of particular interest. 


At times there are complimentary samples on display; please help yourself. 


Dr Caroline runs her solo clinic Health on Rose. Currently there is no reception or administrative support. 


If you need support the best way to contact Dr Caroline is via email or by booking an appointment. 


New appointments are booked at 45minutes. 


If you can please complete the intake form prior to attending. 


Dr Caroline will take time to understand your current health and concerns. 

You will be asked about your past history, medications, surgeries, social and personal history. 


Depending on the nature of your presentation you may be given referrals for blood tests and imaging, and potentially commenced on treatment. You may also receive referral for  allied health support and/or non GP specialist care. 

Treatment may not always be initiated during the 1st appointment.

 

Should previous results or GP information be required this can be organized during the appointment, or by completing this form.



This service is available to existing patients for routine requests such as repeat prescriptions, referrals, and medical certificate. 

Requests are completed outside of a consultation, therefor do not attract a Medicare rebate. 


Request are not suitable for the following:

- ADHD Stimulant medication

- Patients not seen within past 12months

-Medication dose changes or reviews

- Centrelink certificates/Reports/Extended Medical Certificates

 When booking online, you will be asked to provide payment details (credit card or PayPal). 


EFTPOS facilities are available for in-clinic consultations.


For telehealth appointments, payment will be processed using your stored payment details. If you prefer, we can instead issue an invoice with a secure payment link or BPAY details. We kindly ask that all invoices are paid on the day of your appointment.


If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, we will process your claim. In most cases, the rebate is deposited into your nominated bank account within 24 hours.

Dr Caroline Anderson has relocated to 59 Rose Street, Essendon
